Welcome to The College of Central LondonThe College of Central London is classed as one of the best private colleges found in London. Established more than 30 years ago, we offer a mix of courses in four main areas of study; An experienced member of staff well qualified in their respective fields heads each specialisation. The College of Central London was first inspected by the British Accreditation Council for Independent Further and Higher Education in October and December 2004. The College of Central London was awarded accreditation in January 2005. BAC's inspectors reported on a satisfatory, good or excellent level of provision in all areas assessed during the inspection. They considered the college to be well-managed and well-resourced. There was a higher standard of teaching and all staff members showed good support for individual students and sensitivity to their language needs. Help with finding accommodation and general assistance in adapting to living in London was very thorough. Great Teachers... General staff and college teachers are selected for their qualifications and practical experience to enable the college to offer good quality, classroom-based education. We have a high success rate amongst those who complete a given course. Classes are small enough to enable teachers to relate to students as individuals and large enough to create a vibrant atmosphere. Affordable Fees... As a private college we are able to control our own fee structure and it has always been our goal to offer students quality college education at affordable fees. By controlling our own fees we aim to give students value for money when selecting us as their place of learning. International Students... Students come from all over the world as well as from accross the UK. Overseas students make up the majority of the student fraternity, adding to a rich and diverse student community, representing some 65 different countries. Location, Location, Location... The college is located just north of the financial hub of the City of London between Old Street and Liverpool Street stations. We arrange guided tours to special places of interest such as Parliament, the Law Courts and the London Stock Exchange. Excursions to other historic places such as Oxford, Cambridge, Stratford-upon-Avon and Canterbury are organised frequently. Fantastic Facilities... Facilities at the college include areas where students can study or relax during their spare time and a cafeteria where hot and cold meals, snacks and soft drinks are served. Students have access to a computerised library using CD ROM technology. This system contains many of the latest educational CD titles and every copy of the Times and Sunday Times newspapers since 1990. Lending-library facilities are also available and students may borrow books to study at home. A word from the Principal... We are available to help students with problems that arise during their studies and aim to build strong relationships with our students to encourage and maintain a pleasant ambiance. Many of our students return the following year to follow another course and many more recommend their friends and relations to study with us. You may also visit our sister college the School of Computer Technology for details on specialist computer courses. I look forward to meeting you when you decide to study at The College of Central London. Warm regards to you all! Nicolas Kailides, Principal |
